HBDI® Fundamentals: E-learning introduction to Whole Brain® thinking is a 40 minute interactive e-Learning program, to prepare you to receive your HBDI® profile results.

After completing this programme participants will be able to:

  • define and describe the Whole Brain® Model, the basis of the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument® (HBDI®)
  • examine how thinking preferences affect behaviour in planning, work, relationships and communication
  • explore how participants’ behaviour affect their style of communication
  • prepare the participant to fully understand and apply their HBDI® Profile results.

When do participants complete it?

Participants complete the HBDI® Fundamentals immediately after they have completed their on-line HBDI® and before they receive their HBDI® Profiles back.

Why use the HBDI® Fundamentals program?

There are two main reasons why organisations use the HBDI® Fundamentals:

As an addition to classroom training.

By having all participants complete the HBDI® Fundamentals prior to attending any classroom training, you can:

  • ensure everyone enters the classroom with a common level of understanding
  • use the content as a reference and launching pad for subsequent training
  • use the ‘participant exercise’ contained in the program to check understanding and self insight
  • use the administrator feature to manage participation and attendance
  • reduce classroom time by approximately 60 – 90 minutes.

When using the HBDI® Fundamentals as an addition, the subsequent classroom training remains the same.

As a replacement for classroom training.

Some participants are restricted in the amount of time they can spend in the classroom. This could be due to job pressures, client obligations or travel restrictions.

In cases such as this, some of the usual classroom training can be replaced by the e-Learning program.

When using the HBDI® Fundamentals to reduce the amount of classroom time, the subsequent classroom training needs to be adapted to suit.
